PHIL GOLDSMITH

SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCATE

Phil joined our firm in 2005 after a 33 year career at the New York City Department of Education.

Phil graduated from Brooklyn College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and a minor in Elementary Education.  In 1975 he earned his Master of Science Degree in the Education of the Speech, Language and Hearing Impaired.

Phil worked at the Committee on Special Education from 1978 through 2005 evaluating students with educational and speech-language needs in addition to acting as the school district’s representative at Impartial Hearings.

Phil’s 50 years of experience working with special needs students and their families has made him a valuable asset to the Skyerlaw team.
