After graduating from law school, Mary briefly practiced corporate litigation before moving to the public sector. She worked for another city agency before joining the New York City Department of Education in 2017, where she worked in the Special Education and General Practice groups. While working in the Special Education Unit, Mary was inspired to work on behalf of families of children of special needs. This passion only intensified when she realized her own child had special needs.

Mary lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
