Kerry McGrath

Before Kerry became an attorney, she taught in New York City public schools as a part of the NYC Teaching Fellows program. She earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University majoring in policy studies with a focus on education policy.
When she enrolled at New York Law School, she knew she wanted her career to focus on advocating for children with disabilities. She took courses in special education and participated in the school’s civil rights clinic. Since graduating law school in 2012, she has dedicated her practice to representing students with disabilities in NYC and its surrounding suburban school districts.
Kerry is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Kerry lives in Washington Heights, NY with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Ginsburg. When she is not in a hearing, Kerry enjoys going on family hikes.
