LAUREN RABINOWITZ
ATTORNEY
While attending college at Colgate University, Lauren Rabinowitz (Eisler) mentored a local elementary school student with special needs, who had been adopted from abroad. Lauren’s connection with this student and her family sparked an interest in international and family law and special education law. Upon graduation, Lauren continued volunteering on behalf of children while working as a paralegal, advocating internationally for the rights of women surviving domestic violence as well as the educational rights of students in rural Ghana, and facilitating the shipment and delivery of occupational and physical therapy medical supplies to international regions impacted by natural disasters.
As a law student at Fordham University School of Law, Lauren participated in the Family Advocacy Clinic, which focused solely on special education law, the Fordham International Law Journal, the Domestic Violence Action Center, and Law Students for Reproductive Justice. Lauren received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, magna cum laude.
During law school summers, Lauren continued her public-interest work representing clients in hearings regarding family offenses and assisting with pro bono matters involving asylum and unaccompanied minors.
Lauren worked as an associate at another special education law firm in New York representing clients at impartial hearings and in appeals to higher courts before joining the Law Offices of Regina Skyer and Associates in 2019.
Lauren lives in Connecticut with her husband.
